From the nonprofit team behind the NICU Families Northwest online community:
On behalf of the countless hearts, minds, and hands that have placed stickers in books for The Littlest Reader Project, tucked handwritten notes into We Care Packages, sat in silence or celebration with moms and dad while they snacked on delicious muffins from The Full Heart Food Cart, today we begin our year-end fundraiser, “5 To Thrive,” with a goal of raising $8,000 in order to continue to provide programs and services to NICU families in Oregon and SW Washington.
Until December 20th we’ll be actively asking you to give and encouraging you to spread awareness of our fundraising efforts in order to help us reach our goal.
We know not everyone has money to give, which is why sharing our request for donations in your own personal community is so important. Despite the statistics, many NICU parents struggle to find peers in their circle of friends, family, co-workers, congregation, and beyond that have the personal NICU experience necessary to relate to their hardship.
By donating to NICU Families Northwest, you help NICU parents move from surviving to thriving, to connect with peers, and to find resources that will help them thrive.
